On Sunday 16th August a couple of society members will be joining members of the 253 Squadron, Kenley Battle of Britain re-enactment / living history group in taking part in a sponsored 80 laps of the memorial (some in BoB RAF pilot gear) to help raise funds for the memorial to the few.
As well as the combined distance (24km's), before public opening, they will be having a display for the day and also running a raffle with some amazing prizes.
Prizes include books donated by the author Dilip Sarkar MBE, parts of a 92 Sqn Spitfire shot down during the battle and also a number of model kits donated by Harrison-Brown Models.
