I have always been a transport enthusiast for as long as I can remember and have been building models for 30+ years having started at a very early age building WWII plane kits with my father and having the obligatory train set which quickly developed into a lifelong passion for railway modelling.

I have modeled in many scales and also spent a number of years as a volunteer on the Bluebell Railway before becoming an on call firefighter in my hometown and starting my own business which unfortunately meant I had to return to being an armchair member. I now travel around the model railway show circuit either exhibiting or trading (or sometimes both!) and also am honouring my hobbies routes with doing some WW2 Battle of Britain re-enacting and model making.

As well as the model making, restoration or re-enacting I have always enjoyed the research aspect of my different interests and can often be found engrossed in books or websites learning as much as I can about each subject in any spare moments I get.
